Water fowl

In breeding circles, the species of geese birds (Anseriformes) kept, in particular duck birds (Anatidae) , are referred to as water fowl . The ornamental poultry is the third large subgroup of the ornamental poultry next to the ornamental fowl and the ornamental pigeons .

The grouping of ornamental poultry in ducks , geese , swans and Whistling Ducks does not follow the system of geese birds. So that is magpie goose from the Association of European small livestock breeders (EE) the geese assigned and the Federation of German poultry breeders (BDRG) the ducks birds , which in turn is not with the family to confuse the ducks (Anatidae)!
