Garche ( Lorraine Gaasch ) is a district of Thionville , in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

history

Other spellings were: Caranusca (4th century), Garnische (1128), Gairscheyt (1369), Gart (1544), Garsh (1560), Garsz (1596), Guarch (1681), Gaches (1686), Gasch (carte Cassini ), Garsche (1793 and 1801).

In 1970 the place was incorporated into Thionville .
