Gardner Boyd Williams (born April 16, 1877 in Jamaica Plain , Massachusetts , † December 14, 1933 in San Diego , California ) was an American freestyle swimmer who took part in the 1896 Summer Olympics. He couldn't win a medal.

Williams competed in 100-meter freestyle swimming as well as in 1200-meter freestyle swimming, but did not land in the medal ranks. The exact times and placements are not known. Williams came from an influential and wealthy Boston family. His father was a successful wool merchant. As a child he had often been to Europe, where he was with his father's business. This later allowed him to go to Athens as an Olympic competitor , as he knew European customs well. He was one of the few overseas participants who completely paid for their stay in Athens themselves.
