The residential building at Gartenstrasse 165 is in the Grenzlandstadion district of Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The building was built in 1921/22. It was entered under No. G 026 on June 2, 1987 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
The Gartenstraße is an old connection road from Rheydt to Mönchengladbach. House no. 165, in conjunction with the houses opposite and the development on Steubenstrasse, on the corner of which it is located, fulfills an important urban planning function as a point of view and orientation.
The house was built in 1921/1922 as a free-standing, villa-like building. The facade facing Gartenstrasse shows 2: 4 axes . A powerful slate - hipped roof covers the house.
