Ceillac is a commune in the Hautes-Alpes department in the south of France in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Briançon and the Canton of Guillestre . The residents call themselves Ceillaquins.

geography

The municipality is located around 30 kilometers (as the crow flies) south-southeast of Briançon in the valley of the Cristillan River . Neighboring municipalities are Château-Ville-Vieille and Molines-en-Queyras in the north, Saint-Véran in the northeast, Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye in the southeast, Vars in the southwest and Guillestre in the northwest.

The municipality belongs to the Queyras Regional Nature Park .
