Vallouise-Pelvoux is a French commune with 1,210 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of L'Argentière-la-Bessée in the Arrondissement of Briançon .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2017 from the merger of the former municipalities of Pelvoux and Vallouise , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The seat of the municipality is located in Pelvoux.
