Risoul is a commune in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Guillestre in the Arrondissement of Briançon . It is bordered by Guillestre to the north and east, Vars to the southeast, Saint-André-d'Embrun to the south and Saint-Clément-sur-Durance to the west .
