La Salle-les-Alpes is a French municipality with 982 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Briançon-1 in the arrondissement of Briançon .

geography

La Salle-les-Alpes borders Névache to the north, Val-des-Prés and Saint-Chaffrey to the east, Puy-Saint-André to the south, Vallouise-Pelvoux to the southwest and Le Monêtier-les-Bains to the west . The municipal marker includes the La Salle, Villeneuve, Le Bez, Les Pananches and Moulin-Baron settlements.

By decree of January 30, 1987, which came into force on February 5, the previous municipality of La Salle is officially called “La Salle-les-Alpes”.
