The Communauté de communes du Pays des Écrins is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It is named after the Pays des Écrins landscape , was founded on December 14, 2000 and comprises eight municipalities. The administrative headquarters are in L'Argentière-la-Bessée .

Historical development

The Communauté de communes du Pays des Écrins emerged on December 14, 2000 from SIVOM, which was founded on January 1, 1965 .
