Garden animal of the year
The Heinz Sielmann Foundation has been awarding the Garden Animal of the Year award in Germany since 2010 . With this title, the foundation wants to draw attention to the ecological importance of near-natural gardens for the local fauna .
The respective garden animal of the year is determined in an online vote.
