Gary Beach

Gary Beach (born October 10, 1947 in Alexandria (Virginia) , USA - † July 17, 2018 in Palm Springs (California) , USA) was an American musical performer and actor who worked on stage , in film and gained notoriety in television shows. His most famous role was that of Roger DeBris, whom he embodied in both the stage production and in the film adaptation of the Mel Brooks musical The Producers . For this performance he was awarded the 2001 Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical. Beach lived in Palm Springs with his husband, musical actor Jeffrey Barnett . As his management announced, Beach died unexpectedly at the age of 70 at his place of residence. No cause of death was named.
