Gastón Poncet , full name Gastón Poncet Otero , (born July 31, 1991 in Cardona ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
The 1.87 meters tall offensive player Poncet played two games in the Primera División for Club Atlético Peñarol in the 2012 Clausura . He then joined league rivals Juventud on loan . In the 2012/13 season he was there eight times in the league and scored one goal. He then moved to Miramar Misiones on loan in August 2013 . In January 2014, as part of another loan deal, he moved to Honduras for a year at Club Deportivo Platense, which was coached by Memo Bernárdez . There he played ten first division games in the 2013/14 season and three other league games in the following season 2014/15, each without a personal goal. At the beginning of 2015 he returned to Peñarol. However, he was not used in the 2015 Clausura and was not included in the squad. At the end of July 2015, he joined the second division side Boston River and contributed there with one goal in seven league appearances to the first division promotion at the end of the season. In the first division season of 2016 he was used seven times in the league (no goal).
