Eva Ódorová (born November 22, 1979 in Komárno ) is a Slovak table tennis player . She is a three-time European youth champion and took part in the 2008 Olympic Games .

Career

Eva Ódorová began playing table tennis in 1985 at the STO Pokrok Komárno club, which was integrated into the ŠKST Sporiteľňa Bratislava club in 1991. In 1994 she moved to Plastica Nitra to play in the European Super League . She achieved her first international successes at the European Youth Championships. In 1994 she won in doubles with Renáta Štrbíková , in 1997 in singles and mixed with Adrian Crișan (Romania). In 1996 she reached the semi-finals in the singles, with the team she came into the final.

Together with Valentina Popovová , she won the Slovak adult championship title in doubles in 1994. In 1997 she became Slovak individual champion. In the period from 1997 to 2011 she took part in eleven world championships . She never came close to a medal. In 2008 she qualified for participation in the individual competition of the Olympic Games . In the preliminary round she prevails against Priscila Tommy (Vanuatu). After defeating the Hungarian Petra Lovas , she was eliminated in the second main round against Gao Jun (USA).

In 1998 she moved from Plastica Nitra to the German Bundesliga club SV Winterwerb , where she stayed for a year. In 2004 she played for the French club SC Lyssois and in 2008 for CP Lys Lez Lannoy. She is currently active at the French club Elancourt CTT.

After a three-year break, Ódorová was called back to the Slovak national team for the World Table Tennis Championships in 2014 .
