history

The "lamb" is mentioned as early as 1618 as a horse changing station on the post line from Stuttgart to Calw . In 1729 the property was acquired by Hans Jörg Siglin. In the second half of the 18th century it was owned by the Schweizer family. In 1810 the theologian and philosopher Johann Ulrich Wirth was born as the son of the lamb host of the same name.

Today's two-story traufständige half-timbered building on the Ditzinger market street with a representative arched passage portal core dates from the 18th century, but was later modified several times and rebuilt. The dining rooms are now shared by an Italian and an Asian restaurant.
