history

Mentioned for the first time in 1349, the Brauschenkengut belonged to the Kundige patrician family from Dresden until the end of the 16th century . The first innkeeper known by name was Georg Jentzsch in 1609. At that time the Brauschenkengut was the only full-hoofed estate in the village, all other goods were half-hoofed goods. The electoral court brewery manager Sigismund Kanitzky, who owned the inn from 1725, and Johann Georg Döhler, owner from 1738 to 1812, expanded the property to 1 7/8 Hufen.

In 1742 the three brewers of the Oberschänke and the Niederschänke in Kötzschenbroda as well as the inn in Naundorf sued the innkeeper of the Winkelschänke on the northern Liborius vineyard for unauthorized serving of beer from Cossebaude and Oberwartha in his wine bar . The lawsuit was rejected, however, because "the Kötzschenbroda judges and court scouts described the beer in their own taverns as bad and undrinkable".

In 1855/1856 the estate was dissolved within a short time. Until the estate was dissolved, the Kühleberg vineyard in the Kroatengrund also belonged to the property, on which Mitzschke's wine bar was built around 1900 .

Destroyed several times by fires, the inn was last rebuilt in 1883, and the ballroom, which was built at the same time, was given a stage in 1910. Brewing was stopped around 1900. Around 1920, one of the first gas stations in the region was set up outside . In 1954 the inn was closed. After various other uses during GDR times, the property stood empty for a long time.

After an investigation in mid-August 2012 by the archaeologists of the Saxon State Office , whether there were any relics of Saxon contemporary history worth preserving under the building, the demolition permit was granted. In the fall of 2012, the Naundorf inn was demolished to make way for a few single-family houses.
