GastroSuisse is a Swiss employers' association in the hospitality industry . It has around 20,000 members from the hotel and catering industry , making it the largest hospitality employers' association in Switzerland.

The association was founded in 1891 as the Swiss Innkeepers Association and is organized in the form of an association based in Zurich . The hotels , guest houses , inns, restaurants and cafés affiliated as members are divided into 26 cantonal sections and four specialist groups. The highest body of Gastrosuisse is the Assembly of Delegates, whose members are nominated by the cantonal associations. The other organs include the President's Conference, the Board of Directors, the Business Audit Commission and the auditors.

The association's work includes education and training , marketing for young talent, information and advice on legal and economic issues, as well as public relations . Gastrosuisse also runs a specialist book publisher and publishes its own specialist newspaper, the GastroJournal (weekly publication). The association also includes the two hotel management schools Belvoirpark Hotel Management School Zurich and École Hôtelière de Genève , which are run as higher technical schools . With the GastroSocial compensation fund and the GastroSocial pension fund , Gastrosuisse has its own social security and pension fund .
