Gateside is a settlement in the west of the Scottish Council Area Fife near the border with Perth and Kinross . It is located about 20 km north-northeast of Dunfermline and 13 km southeast of Perth . Gateside includes the hamlets of Edenhead and Edentown . Gateside had a total of 196 residents in 2001.
A few kilometers west of Gateside, the Eden River is created by the confluence of two streams and touches Gateside in the south. The Chapel of St Mary of Dungaitside, which was part of the Balmerino Monastery , was once located in Gateside . Gateside is connected to the road network by the A91 .
