The Gaulverjabæjarvegur is a main road in the south of Iceland .

The road 33 branches east of Selfoss in southeastern direction from the ring road from. It almost reaches the coast and then swings west and ends at Eyrarbakkavegur . The Gaulverjabæjarvegur has a length of 26 km. The road runs through the coastal town of Stokkseyri . The name is derived from the settlement Gaulverjabær.

Rjómabúið Baugsstaðir

About 4 km east of Stokkseyri is the former Baugsstaðir dairy in a single corrugated iron building. It was founded in 1905 by local farmers and was in operation until 1952. It was the last of the former thirty dairies of this type. The butter from here was sold as "Danish butter" in England, among other places. In 1975 it became a museum and is the only old dairy in Iceland to still display the original equipment. They were powered by a small overshot water wheel.
