The building at Schloßstraße 5 in Schwerin , Old Town district , Schloßstraße 5 at the corner of Ritterstraße, is a monument in Schwerin .
After 1990 the house was used for administrative purposes in the country.
history
The two-storey, plastered, neoclassical house in L-shape with two three-storey gable risalits and the mansard roof was built in 1884 according to plans by Rudolf Zöllner in the French neo-Renaissance style as a grand ducal property management and court marshal's office .
After 1949 it was the house of the Young Pioneers of the FDJ .
After 1990 it was used by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Ministry of Finance , which had its headquarters in the neighboring neoclassical building at Schloßstraße 9/11 from 1911.
