The Russian Foreign Trade Bank ( Ukrainian Російський банк для зовнішньої торговлі ) is a listed Art Nouveau building in the city of Shevchenko in the Ukrainian capital Kiev .

The building erected between 1911 and 1913 on Khreshchatyk No. 32, the capital boulevard of Kiev, housed the Kiev branch of the Russian Foreign Trade Bank. The house has been an architectural monument since 1979, and today it houses a well-known souvenir shop and an office of the Kiev city administration.

The four-storey house is one of the few remaining buildings on the Khreshchatyk that was built before the Second World War . It was built by the Swedish-born St. Petersburg architect Fyodor Lidwal (Russian: Фёдор Иванович Лидваль , Swedish: Johan Fredrik Lidval) in his own Nordic Art Nouveau style with elements of the Italian Renaissance . The balustrade is crowned by a cornice, which is interrupted in its central part by two symbols of shipping and trade. On the third floor there is an unusual row of arched windows. The facade, which was sandblasted in early 2000, consists of roughly hewn natural stone. Some of the relief surfaces melted by the great fire in 1941 can still be seen.
