Building label
In Switzerland, a building label is an ID card or certification that assigns a certain standard to a building or a building type .
Achieving a label reflects minimum standards in the environmental , energy , ecological or social area.
Types of labels
A distinction is made between checked and unchecked labels. Tested labels have one or more certification authorities, whereby the certification authority can in turn be an authority accredited by the label:
- Passive House does not have a certification body.
- Minergie has a certification body.
- The efficiency house has a certification body (dena).
Building value
In Switzerland, various banks grant a lower interest rate on mortgage loans , provided the building has a Minergy label.
Problem
Especially with internationally active labels, there is no adaptation to the country-specific characteristics. So it makes no sense to assign evaluation points for a rain collection system if the building is in a rain zone.
Various internationally active building labels
- Passive House ( Germany )
- Minergie ( Switzerland ): residential buildings , administration buildings , schools , hospitals ; 14,000 certificates (2009)
- Minergie-P (Switzerland)
- Minergie-P Eco (Switzerland)
