Poems and stories in the Ore Mountains dialect

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Poems and stories in the Ore Mountains dialect was a book series from the Erzgebirgs-Verlag der Graser'schen Buchhandlung (Richard Liesche) in Annaberg in which around 40 different titles appeared from 1880 onwards. The series was discontinued at the end of the 1920s after it had been transferred to the Wittig & Schobloch publishing house (1924 v. Kommerstädt & Schobloch ) in Dresden- Wachwitz between 1919 and 1922 .

The first booklets initially appeared under the title Old and New Poems and Stories in the Ore Mountains dialect .

The series was mainly devoted to the publication of Ore Mountains dialect literature by known and unknown authors from the Saxon Ore Mountains . Each volume appeared in the same format, initially with a hard cardboard cover, later mostly only as a paperback. Most of the booklets were not illustrated, but only had a view of the town of Annaberg, drawn by Esinger from Leipzig, on the cover.
