Christian Gottlob Wild

Christian Gottlob Wild (born December 25, 1785 in Johanngeorgenstadt ; † March 24, 1839 in Breitenbrunn / Erzgeb. ) Was a German Evangelical Lutheran pastor . He is considered the founder of the Ore Mountains dialect poetry .

Life

Wild was born as the son of the third teacher of the same name at the Johanngeorgenstadt Latin School. After attending school in his hometown, he moved to the lyceum in Schneeberg and in 1805 began studying theology at the University of Wittenberg . During the lecture-free period he went on extensive hikes to get to know his home in the Ore Mountains. At the age of 22 he wrote his main work, a travelogue that was printed in Freiberg in 1809 .

From 1816 to 1824 Wild was pastor in Carlsfeld . In 1824 he was transferred to the parish in Breitenbrunn, where he worked until the end of his life. He married Caroline Friedericke, daughter of the district forester Christoph Heinrich Nollain in Großpöhla , on May 20, 1817 in Grünstädtel . Their children were named Guido Selmar, Oskar, Emil, Ryno-Volkmar, Carl Bruno and Aurelia.

  • Mixed poems , 1816 (three of them in the Ore Mountains and two in the Vogtland dialect, particularly well known: "'s Afahrn" ( Wenn's Gelöckel dreie lätt ) and "Ich bi e Funny Klippelmad")

  • Karl Stülpner , a strange poacher (article), 1816.
  • Sermon on the Sunday after Christmas 1821, with reference to the gruesome murder of Christians on the third Christmas holiday in Carlsfeld in the ninth hour of the evening. Fried. Wilhelm. Baumgarten from her previous lover CG Ludwig v. Otto.
