history

The core of the homestead dates back to the 16th century and consists of a half-timbered house and a half-timbered barn arranged parallel to it, the cellar of which is inscribed from 1528. In the 18th century the homestead was redesigned. In 1889 the barn was expanded and the house restored. Large parts of the historic buildings in Böckingen were lost when the farming village became a workers' community around 1900 or were destroyed in the air raids on Heilbronn during World War II, so that the farmstead at Seestrasse 27 and 27/1 is the oldest testimony to the village's rural past .

In 1887 the building was purchased by Martin Carle. He came from the Carle family, which can be traced back to about 1720 in Böckingen, and which has been widely ramified and has continued to produce local restaurateurs and entrepreneurs up to the present day. Their parent company was the Württemberger Hof at Rathausstrasse 1. Martin Carle had been the innkeeper at the Golden Ochsen , which he had built, since 1863 , and in 1889 he initiated the restoration and structural expansion of the farmstead in Seestrasse. Later the homestead belonged to the building contractor Friedrich Carle, who founded the Carle construction business in 1908 and when Carles Fidde was a Böckinger original, around which countless stories have grown. In 1950 the postal assistant Elise Carle and the stonemason Friedrich Carle jun. the building. In 1961 No. 27/1 was separated and owned by Friedrich Carle jun., While Friedrich sen. and Elise were further reported in No. 27.
