Geir Ove Kvalheim

Geir Ove Kvalheim (born April 30, 1970 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian actor, journalist and filmmaker.

Life

Geir Ove Kvalheim grew up in Vestfold . In his youth he was politically active in organizations of the Norwegian Labor Party. Between 1992 and 1994 he received training at the Skrivekunstakademiet in the Hordaland region and at the Romerike Volkshochschule (Romerike folkehøgskole) .

Kvalheim appeared as an actor in various television series on Norwegian television. He works as a director for Norwegian Broadcasting and various other Norwegian television and media companies.

In 2007, Kvalheim broadcast a television feature and interview with the Norwegian collaborator and Obersturmführer of the Waffen-SS Fredrik Jensen (* 1921).

Hamsun manuscripts

In 2005, Kvalheim discovered eight more documents from Knut Hamsun about his involvement as a supporter of German National Socialism and sold them to the Norwegian National Library . The authenticity of the documents was questioned in 2008 by the Hamsun researcher Lars Frode Larsen .
