Geizenburg an der Ruwer is a district of the municipality of Pluwig , which is located in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
history
According to archaeological reports, there was actually a castle in Geizenburg in the Middle Ages . Unlike many other places in the area, the name part “-burg” does not come from “-berg”, but actually goes back to a castle. Remnants of this are only present to a very small extent and are not visible to the eye of the beholder. No more detailed archaeological excavations have yet been carried out.
