Gekijōban: Shakugan no Shana ( Japanese 劇場版 灼 眼 の シ ャ ナ ) is an anime film from 2007 that was produced by the Japanese animation studio JCStaff . The film is an alternate rendition of the first season of the anime television series Shakugan no Shana , but is based more closely on the light novel template.
action
As in the original for the film, Yuji Sakai is portrayed as an ordinary student. However, when he is out and about in the city, time suddenly seems to stand still and he has to watch two monsters literally devour the people standing around him. When he threatens to be the next victim, however, he gets help from a girl with flaming red hair. This defeats the monsters and apparently saves Yuji from his death. The catch, however, is that it tells him that in reality he is already dead and that he is still held in this world only by a gift dormant in him. The girl reveals herself to him as Flame Haze . Yuji, however, gives her the name Shana and the two become friends despite major differences.
Origin and publications
