Gen Matsuda ( Japanese 松田 弦 , Matsuda Gen ; born July 16, 1982 in Kōchi Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese guitarist .

life and career

Gen Matsuda is a graduate of Waseda University , a student of Takayuki Matsui , Noboru Muraji , Tomonori Arai and has attended master classes with Oscar Ghiglia , Shinichi Fukuda , Norio Sato , Stefano Grondona , Zoran Dukic , Ricardo Gallen and others. a.

In 2009 he became the first Japanese to win the Tokyo International Guitar Competition in eleven years.
