Gene zone

Genzone ( Lombard : Gensón ) is a place and a former municipality ( comune ) in southwestern Lombardy in northern Italy in the province of Pavia . Genzone is about 15.5 kilometers east of Pavia on the Olona in the Pavese .

Neighboring communities were Copiano , Corteolona , Filighera and Gerenzago . In 2013, 355 people lived in the municipality on an area of ​​3.96 km².

Genzone merged with Corteolona on January 1, 2016 to form the new municipality of Corteolona e Genzone .
