Geoffrey Bingham
Geoffrey "Geoff" Cyril Bingham (born January 6, 1919 in Goulburn , New South Wales , † June 3, 2009 ) was an Australian writer .
Life
Bingham grew up in Sydney on the North Shore . He attended a theological school in Sydney. During the Second World War he was taken prisoner of war. Upon his return, he began publishing short stories in The Bulletin and other magazines. He also worked as a farmer, but then became a clergyman. Long stays abroad in Pakistan , India , Sri Lanka , Thailand and other Asian countries followed. He also visited England , New Zealand and the USA . He worked as a publisher of theological books and lived in Coromandel , South Australia .
He wrote short stories and a novel.
