Geoffrey Filkin, Baron Filkin

David Geoffrey Nigel Filkin, Baron Filkin CBE (born July 1, 1944 ) is a British Labor Party politician .

He was promoted to Life Peer on July 29, 1999 as Baron Filkin , of Pimlico in the City of Westminster .

Career

He held various positions, first from June 2001 to May 2002 as Lord in Waiting (Junior Whip ), then from May 2002 to June 2003 as Undersecretary in the Home Department and finally from June 2003 to September 2004 as Parliamentary Undersecretary of the Department for Constitutional Affairs and from September 2004 to May 2005 in the Department for Education and Skills.

In November 2005, Lord Filkin became a consultant at Capgemini . During this time, Capgemini had, among other things, the ASPIRE contract with the British tax authority HM Revenue and Customs and a number of other government and agency contracts.
