Georg-Wilhelm Mietz

Georg-Wilhelm Mietz (born February 28, 1932 in Neumühl ; † June 9, 2005 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament of the ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, he completed an apprenticeship as a cooper . From 1952 was Mietz police official at the district police Siegen-Wittgenstein. After he left the police force for health reasons, he still worked as a self-employed businessman.

Mietz had been a member of the CDU since 1970 and was represented on numerous party bodies. He had been a member of the police union since 1952.

MP

From May 28, 1975 to May 28, 1980 and from March 31, 1983 to February 28, 1990, Mietz was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . In the eighth electoral term he was directly elected in the constituency 132 Siegen II. In the ninth electoral term, Mietz moved up on March 31, 1983 on the CDU reserve list. In the tenth electoral term he was elected from his party's national list and resigned during the period.

He was a member of the council of the municipality of Netphen from 1979.
