Georg Albert (philosopher)

Georg Johann Jaroslav Albert (born October 3, 1869 in Vienna ; † December 19, 1943 there ) was an Austrian philosopher , writer and private scholar.

He was the son of the councilor and professor Eduard Albert . After attending the Schottengymnasium , he studied medicine and philosophy at the University of Vienna .

In 1901 he arranged for his deceased father to be reburied in Vienna and erected a monumental tomb for him.

In 1898 he received his doctorate as Dr. phil. From 1916 to 1918 he took part in the First World War and was a war economics assistant in the War Ministry in Vienna.

As a private scholar, he lived in Vienna and published several works on philosophical topics, in addition to being active as a poet and lyricist.
