Georg Aumeier

Georg Aumeier (born November 14, 1895 in Amberg ; † unknown) was a German SS leader.

Aumeier attended elementary school and high school and then worked in the textile industry. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in World War I , from which he returned 60% seriously injured. In 1922 he became a member of the SA and took part in the Hitler putsch in Munich in 1923, for which he was later awarded the Blood Order (award number 586). In 1926 he left the SA and joined the NSDAP ( membership number 33,027). In 1928 he also became a member of the SS (SS no.1.237). On July 1, 1930 he was promoted to SS-Standartenführer and on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the transfer of power on January 30, 1934 to SS-Oberführer . As such, he was active in the staff of the Reichsführer SS , where, among other things, he headed the card index department.
