Georg Bernhardt

Georg Heinrich Bernhardt (born March 1, 1892 in Veckerhagen ; † December 12, 1964 in Bad Wildungen ) was a German chess composer from Frankenau .

composition

From 1918 Bernhardt published over 300 studies. Strangely enough, its most popular one was repeatedly distributed as a game fragment. It was often reproduced with the names Pape - Roth , Papp - Roth and Peip - Roth , and it is said that it was played either in 1924 in Löbau or in 1972 in Germany. Curiously, even the German Chess Federation printed the piece as a game position. In reality, however, it was the following composition.
