Georg Bosbach

Georg Bosbach (born October 11, 1953 , † September 13, 1972 ) was a German football player .

Career

Bosbach played up to the C-youth in the soccer department of TuS Ülpenich , a district club from Zülpich in the Euskirchen district , and in 1968 moved to the youth department of 1. FC Cologne . As a midfielder from his own youth, he received a professional contract from his club in the summer of 1972. He played his only competitive game for the first team on August 12, 1972, when he was substituted on for Detlev Lauscher in the preliminary round of Group 6 of the DFB League Cup in the 1: 3 defeat at Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 30th minute .

One month later, on September 13, 1972, Bosbach had a fatal accident after training in a traffic accident in the Euskirchen district.
