Georg Breuker
Georg Breuker (born May 25, 1876 in Bochum ; † May 16, 1964 there ) was a novelist and poet who tells of the working world of miners in his works. He was a close friend of Heinrich Kämchen .
Life
He was born the son of a miner. After attending elementary school, he worked as a horse boy on a colliery in Bochum-Stiepel and later became a teacher. Because of his involvement in the union and the miners' association, he was fired and blacklisted, which made it difficult for him to find new work.
