Georg Christian Hoffmann

Georg Christian Hoffmann (January 1627 - September 10, 1693 in Heilbronn ) was mayor of the imperial city of Heilbronn from 1684 to 1693 .

Life

In 1664 he was a member of the court and in 1670 a member of the inner, small council ("von den burgern"), later tax master in 1675 , mayor in 1677 and from 1684 mayor of Heilbronn . He doesn't seem to have been married.

In 1688 the city of Heilbronn was captured by the French army in the Palatinate War of Succession . During their retreat, the French took various hostages to extort money from the city. In addition to Hoffmann, these were also the mayors Johann David Feyerabend and Johann Georg Pfitzer . In 1690 Hoffmann was released again.
