Georg Dascher
Georg Dascher (born June 27, 1911 in Darmstadt , † November 25, 1944 ) was a German handball player .
Georg Dascher played for the Darmstadt Police Sports Club and became German field handball champion with them in 1934. He made six international matches during his sporting career . As a member of the German national handball team , he became Olympic champion at the Summer Olympics in Berlin in 1936 .
During the Second World War he served as a lieutenant in the Wehrmacht and fell on the Western Front in 1944 . He is buried on the war cemetery in Lommel .
