Georg Schorsch Eberl (born May 11, 1936 in Bad Tölz ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Athletic career

Georg Eberl played for the EC Bad Tölz team from 1955 to 1966 and was their captain when the team became German champions in 1962 and 1966 .

Internationally, he completed 52 international matches for the German national ice hockey team , taking part in the 1960 Winter Olympics and the 1959 , 1961 and 1962 ice hockey world championships .

Others

After his sporting career, he was the owner of a spa hotel in Bad Tölz from 1984. In local politics, he held a mandate for the SPD in the city council of Bad Tölz for 42 years .
