Georg Engelhardt (theologian)

Georg Engelhardt (also Englhardt , born May 13, 1901 in Munich , † 1971 ) was a German theologian . He was a professor of fundamental theology and dogmatics at the University of Regensburg .

Life

Engelhardt attended high schools in Scheyern and Freising . He then studied at the Philosophical-Theological University of Freising and the University of Munich. He received his doctorate in Munich in 1933 and completed his habilitation in 1936. From 1937 to 1939 he was a substitute professor of dogmatics at the Philosophical-Theological University of Regensburg . From 1945 he taught as an associate professor and from 1948 as a full professor in Regensburg.
