Helmuth Georg Escher (born December 8, 1994 in Stollberg / Erzgebirge ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Escher started his career with the LE Volleys in Leipzig . He then played in the youth team VC Olympia Berlin . In 2013, the middle blocker switched to Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen . With the club, he made it to the Bundesliga in 2014 . In the 2014/15 season , the Netzhoppers reached the playoff quarter-finals with Escher. He was then committed by league rivals United Volleys Rhein-Main . With the Frankfurt team he reached the semifinals of the DVV Cup and third place in the Bundesliga . The following season there was the cup-out in the round of 16 before the United Volleys reached the playoff semifinals again . In the 2017/18 season, Escher reached the semi-finals with the club in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs . In the 2018/19 season he was eliminated with Frankfurt in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs in the quarter-finals against SVG Lüneburg . He also took part in the Champions League , in which the Hessians came as a newcomer to the group stage. Then Escher moved to Volley Amriswil in Switzerland .
