Georg Faehlmann

Georg Faehlmann (born September 5 . Jul / 17 September 1895 greg. In Vladivostok , Russian Empire , †  8. March 1975 in Bad Schwartau , Schleswig-Holstein ) was an Estonian sailors .

His great-uncle was the Estonian philologist and physician Friedrich Robert Faehlmann . In 1917 Georg Faehlmann began sailing in Petrograd . With the IX. At the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam , Faehlmann was a member of the team of the Estonian boat Tutti V at the age of 32, which won the bronze medal in the 6-meter class after Norway and Denmark . His colleagues were Nikolai Vekšin , William von Wirén , Eberhard Vogdt and his younger brother Andreas Faehlmann . With the Soviet occupation of Estonia, Georg Faehlmann moved to Germany in 1941, where he lived until his death.
