Georg Fey (politician, 1878)

Georg Fey (born March 28, 1878 in Bad Hersfeld , † January 30, 1955 in Hagen (Westphalia) ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Prussian state parliament .

Life

Georg Fey was the son of a worker and attended elementary school from 1884 to 1892. This was followed by an apprenticeship as a stonemason. In this profession he worked in Gotha and Erfurt until 1902 , before becoming a consumer administrator in Bad Hersfeld and from 1904 in Hagen. Fey became a member of the supervisory board of the consumer cooperative "Vorwärts" in Barmen and in 1906 took over the position of managing director and reporter of the Hagen branch of the "Free Press". From 1912 to 1924 he was a city councilor in Hagen, from 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Prussian state assembly . From 1921 Fey was an employee of the city theater in Hagen. After 1945 Fey was again active in the SPD.
