Georg Fox

Georg Fox (born July 12, 1949 in Saarbrücken ) is a Saarland artist and writer in the field of fiction and dialect poetry as well as school principal .

Life

After graduating from high school , Fox attended a university of education specializing in German and political science. Until 2014 he was the headmaster of the Erich Kästner School in Heusweiler . Georg Fox is a member of the Bosener Gruppe , a dialect authors' association for Rhine and Moselle Franconian regional poetry.

Public appearances in the context of various radio programs were "Dialect evening on SR3", "Happy Weekend on SR3", TV reports in Südwest 3 (programs "Current Report", "Kulturspiegel", "Dibbelabbes" 1998/1999, Kiosk 2002) "Òòmends schbääd" - Dialect feature on SR3 Saarlandwelle from October 1996 to February 2003 (over 330 individual broadcasts), culture mirror on the topic of “Heimat” Nov 2009. He appeared in Manuel Andrack's broadcast “Ich bin Saarländer” in February 2009 with Manuel Andrack the Hundsrücksteig in Nov 2009, Sellemòls 2010, SR on site in Püttlingen 2010, Kulturspiegel 2010, as well as in the current report of SR television, in the portrait for the poetry award SR3 loudspeaker in November 2013, as an author portrait in March 2017 in the TV program Wir im Saarland - "Saarnur".

Georg Fox also paints sketches and watercolors and works in the field of printmaking. He produced several sketch portfolios, calendar publications for Kusel, Püttlingen and Saarbrücken. Their originals went into private and public ownership. (including Saarbrücken city association). He has won several awards in regional painting competitions.

In 2016 the second CD "Òòmends schbääd" was released with poems spoken in dialect with specially written songs by Miko Vogelgesang.

  • Golden Loudspeaker from SR3, Poetry category, Best Dialect Poem 2013
