Georg Hamburger

Georg Hamburger (born May 5, 1941 in Vemend , Hungary ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1999 to 2009 he was a member of the Saxon State Parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1959 in Werdau , he did an apprenticeship as a toolmaker , initially stayed in this profession and later switched to pipeline construction. He held various positions in pipeline construction in Werdau until 1987. He graduated as an engineer in general mechanical engineering in 1967 and as a welding engineer in 1982. From 1987 to 1990 he was the Hamburg construction manager in Neukirchen .

Georg Hamburger is Roman Catholic, married and has four children.

Hamburger has been a member of the CDU since 1959 . From 1990 to 94 he was district chairman, first of the CDU Werdau, then of Zwickau-Werdau. From 1993 to 1995 he was a member of the state executive committee, and has been a member of the district executive committee since 1994.

From 1990 to 1994 he was District Administrator of the district Werdau , before the district reform from 1994 to 2001 Business of the Executive Committee in the Saxon County Association, since 1999 he was for the constituency Zwickauer Land 2 deputy in the parliament of Saxony. There he acted building, housing and transport policy spokesman for his group. In the 4th electoral period (2004–2009) Hamburger was a member of the Interior Committee and of the 1st and 2nd investigative committees of the 4th electoral term. After the state elections in 2009 , he left parliament.

Honors

Georg Hamburger has been an honorary citizen of the city of Werdau since 2011 .
