Georg Hannig
Georg Hannig (* 1872 in Berlin ; † November 14, 1934 there ) was a German landscape architect and horticulturist .
Hannig worked on the conception, creation and maintenance of parks throughout Europe and gained professional experience in Versailles. In the first years of the 20th century he moved to Szczecin . Here he designed the main cemetery together with the Szczecin city planner Wilhelm Meyer-Schwartau . Hannig was director of the main cemetery until 1932 and moved to Switzerland in 1932 . He died on November 14, 1934 and is buried in Berlin.
Georg Hannig is an honorary citizen of the city of Szczecin.
