Georg Hermann Braun (born January 3, 1824 in Hersfeld , † August 28, 1885 in Kassel ) was the owner of the manor and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Braun married his cousin Sophie Jungk (* ​​May 20, 1835; † March 26, 1892) in 1855 and from then on managed the Oberrode manor, which she inherited . After Oberrode became independent as a municipality, Braun was mayor from 1861 to 1882.

From 1878 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel 6 (Hersfeld, Hünfeld , Rotenburg ) and belonged to the faction of the German Reich Party in the Reichstag .
