Georg Ludwig Grote

Georg Ludwig Grote (born November 17, 1788 in Lüchow ; † September 1, 1868 in Wienhausen ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Georg Ludwig Grote was the son of the bailiff Karl Johann Grote in Lüchow . From 1807 to 1809 he studied law at the University of Göttingen . On January 18, 1809, he was one of the founders of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . During the French period in 1812 he was procureur at the Uelzen tribunal . From 1813 to 1815, he took part in the Wars of Liberation as a lieutenant in the Lüchow Landwehr Battalion. In 1814 he became an auditor in Dannenberg , 1816 clerk and 1818 clerk in Großburgwedel , then in the offices in Medingen and Eicklingen, where he lived in Wienhausen. Grote was on April 24, 1839 bailiff and then until 1850 senior bailiff in the Eicklingen office .

Grote married her first marriage on May 4, 1824 in Celle Agnes born. Schulze, daughter of the local mayor Dr. Friedrich Schulze. This marriage resulted in two sons and a daughter. His second marriage was on October 25, 1843 in Hanover, Johanna geb. Hornbostel (1794–1875), daughter of pastor Hermann Hornbostel in Hamburg; this second marriage remained childless.
