Georg Pachta-Reyhofen

Georg Pachta-Reyhofen (born June 28, 1955 in Munich ) is an Austrian manager and former CEO of MAN SE .

Life

He studied mechanical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology , where he obtained a doctorate in technical sciences. His areas of expertise were mixture formation and exhaust emissions from internal combustion engines .

Act

Pachta-Reyhofen started his career in 1986 as an engineer with the Austrian ÖAF Gräf und Stift AG in Vienna (today Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Österreich GesmbH). In 1996 he moved to MAN AS as Technical Director. From 1999 Pachta-Reyhofen was in charge of engine development at MAN Nutzfahrzeuge at the Nuremberg plant, and in 2001 he was appointed to the Board of Management for Research and Development. Since 2006 he has been CEO of MAN Diesel and on the board of the parent company MAN SE. On December 17, 2009, he was appointed spokesman for the MAN SE Executive Board by the Supervisory Board. In September 2015 Reyhofen resigned from his position at MAN. His successor was from October 1stJoachim Drees , head of the truck division.
